ACTION PLAN

You pressed the button, Fantastic! Now let’s go to work.

Much has been written about action plans. Here are the elements to consider on your way to success.

A true action plan is to understand human behaviour. "What makes us tick". As you read the below article, use the pillars provided and consider your needs, analyse yourself and write down your thoughts so you can reflect later.

We all have an innate need to belong. When you don’t belong, your physical and mental health diminishes and your opportunities for success reduce. BELONGING insights comradely and a purpose for all to win together.

Ask yourself these questions.

  1. How can I help them?
  2. How can they help me?
  3. Who else do we need?
  4. How can we be stronger together?

When you have mastered what matters and you own what you know, you have more confidence to go out and succeed. MASTERY is your starting point.  Whether you’re a carpenter, a pilot or a scientist know your craft well and own it.

When you feel in control of your environment and are offered choices about what you do and voice to say how you would like to do it, you increase your efforts and have more motivation. Your well-being is enhanced, and your performance improves as a result as you have achieved AUTONOMY. It’s a recognition of trust.

Your goal must have PURPOSE. A powerful purpose gives you a guiding philosophical angle that can ensure decisions are easier to make and helps you use your passion to accomplish the things that are important to you. Since the purpose is at the heart of the action plan let's add some clarity. Our purpose can be defined by its scope (how ever-present it is in our life), its strength (how much influence it brings to our decisions) and our awareness of it (how far to the front of our mind it sits). To identify our purpose, we can try to visualise or free writing. Our goal is to neatly summarise our purpose in one sentence, but it will take time. Once you are clear with your purpose create a great mantra. It must be:

Positive – Personal – Purposeful – Memorable – Short – A little bit emotional.

CONFIDENCE is the most critical differentiator between success and failure. It's not about how hard you trained or studied, it’s about knowing you have cultivated a desire to do your very best each time. Compete against yourself not others and celebrate your improvements.

When you put PROCESS ahead of the outcome, you can focus on the moment. This reduces stress, increases the number of successful strategies in your repertoire and allows you to perform at your best.

To be successful, you need to leave your comfort zone and act bravely. Understanding your motivations and preparing for obstacles means that you can calibrate a courageous attitude. It’s difficult, finding COURAGE is not an easy thing but if you follow the written word above, it gets easier, as you have a clear goal with purpose, adopted the confidence needed and streamlined the process. "Man your dangerous".

INTERNAL INSIGHT helps you design a life that suits your core being, your social preferences, your emotional outlook, your motivations, and your competencies. This self-awareness gives you the strongest possible foundation for success. Once you succeeded show GRATITUDE. Developing a grateful mindset requires only a few minutes a day, but gives benefits which last a lifetime.

Good luck, we wish you well. jm
